In problem one, the candidate had to match sixteen object-oriented terms with their definitions. The candidate’s general knowledge of object-oriented terminology was measured. This candidate scored 13 out of a possible 16 points.

Problem two involved twenty multiple-choice questions that pertained to C++ commands and concepts, and measured the candidate’s level of programming knowledge. This candidate scored 18 out of 20 points.

Problem three was designed to measure the candidate’s basic mathematical skills, ability to reason with symbols and envisage relationships, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures. This candidate obtained 22 points out of a possible 24.

Problem four examined the candidate’s logic and procedure creation abilities. This candidate scored 11 out of 14 points.

The fifth problem was designed to measure the candidate’s ability to read precise specifications, and identify errors in the application of those specifications. Out of a possible 12 points, this candidate scored 10.

The last problem on the test required the candidate to analyze a procedure, then develop a short symbolic program for it. This candidate scored 11 out of 14 points.

Recommendation

With an overall score of 85%, we strongly recommend this individual as having the potential for a successful career as an object-oriented Programmer Analyst.
