Sample Candidate Evaluation Report

Aptitude Assessment Battery Programming

Company: ABC Systems Inc.

CANDIDATE SCORE:   95%

PERCENTILE:   85th

EVALUATION:  HIGH

This person shows high capability in the characteristics necessary for successful work in programming. He can carry through intricate operations with keen analysis and a high degree of accuracy.

He made only two errors on the entire test -- a logical error and a lack of precision in interpreting one of the specifications. These errors were of the type that would be readily discovered after a debugging test run. He did three of the problems of the test completely correctly.

He shows good comprehension of complicated, multi-step explanations of the kind found in programming reference manuals.

His work, however, is neither well organized nor adequately annotated. It may be difficult for another programmer to follow his logic from his programs and documentation. He may even have difficulty himself reviewing one of his old programs for a modification at some later time.

Recommendation

Assuming that he will be cooperative with his supervisor's efforts toward the improvement of his organization and annotation of his work, we recommend him HIGHLY for employment in programming.
