Purpose
This test evaluates the person's potential for Quality Assurance training and future job functions.
General
Description
This test, from which a four-page report is
provided to the client, consists of three problems which evaluate logic and analytical ability. Also included is a sub-test that measures the
candidate's reasoning skills.
Positions
for which the test is appropriate
This test is used to pre-screen job
applicants and in-house personnel in the following positions:
 | Entry-level candidates (no prior experience or education) |
 | Computer Trainees |
 | Computer Science Graduates |
 | Experienced Applicants |
Job
criteria measured
This test functions independently of programming language and computer hardware knowledge.
It consists of three problems that simulate on-the-job assignments required of most Quality Assurance individuals, plus a sub-test
measuring reasoning skills. The test measures the following job criteria:
 | sequence key activities for planning |
 | identify errors in assigned specifications |
 | comprehend common business procedures |
 | reasoning |
Test
administration
The test requires only clerical supervision
to administer, and takes 1 hour 15 minutes to complete. The candidate has exactly 50 minutes to complete Section A,
and exactly 24 minutes for Section B (Reasoning Test). The sections must be administered separately and
precisely timed. Candidates should be given the tests in a relatively quiet environment.
More then one person can be tested at one time. Once the candidate begins, the test is self-instructive.

specifications being broken can be placed in any order for a given "answer" line.
